![]() It puts a picture in my head right around the chorus "fight for honor, fight for your life." of walking down my short road away from my house, in my torn up jeans and my A7X shirt with my headphones in my ears, and everything was just perfect that day. You know how sometimes, something can just remind you of a simple moment, nothing special, nothing standout about it, just a regular moment in time, maybe something as simple as driving down the road on a nice day? M.I.A. I'd get up at noon, or later sometimes and play xbox or go online to use AIM or whatever, but I'm an outside kind of person, so at some point during the day, I'd take a nice walk with my iPod. I remember the gorgeous, warm summer days in my nice little neighborhood. My favorite thing about the album is M.I.A. #Avenged sevenfold city of evil album download 320kbps download#I proceeded to download all of their music (which was just Wtf and STST at that time) and it became my new obsession. That night, I downloaded Seize the Day and the rest of City of Evil and fucking loved it. Immediately realized I owed my friend an apology. They read : Seize the Day, Avenged Sevenfold. ![]() So I waited for the credits to pop up in the bottom corner at the end. I specifically remember turning to my girlfriend and saying something along the lines of "holy shit this is really good, who is this?" and she said she didn't know. It had such an awesome vibe to it, and the guitar solo made me fall in love. From the first second of the song, I liked it. I had my girlfriend at the time over my house and we were just hanging out in my room watching the FuseTV top 10 countdown or whatever, and this music video came on. they're gay." and "they suck" and so on and so forth.įast forward to that summer of 2007, leading into sophomore year. This is the album that got me into Avenged. What are your thoughts on City of Evil, and what was your first impression on it? Is there anything you wish they would have done differently, or did they nail it? What're your favorite and least favorite songs? How different do you think the band would be today if this album had never happened? It debuted at number 30 on the Billboard top 200 after release, and the band won best new artist at the 2006 MTV VMAs, where they beat out several now very popular performers such as Rihanna, Chris Brown, James Blunt, Angels & Airwaves, and Panic at the Disco. The album released on June 6, 2005, and contains some of Avenged's still most popular songs, such as Seize the Day, Bat Country, and Beast and the Harlot, all of which have been a regular part of their live shows since release. The album features possibly the biggest change in sound between two albums (Waking the Fallen to City of Evil) that the band has ever had (in competition with only Nightmare to Hail to the King) as they moved on from the metalcore sound of STST and WtF, and on to a more hard rock/heavy metal style. City of Evil is the third studio album from Avenged Sevenfold, and the first on the Warner Bros record label. ![]()
